NIPDB conducted stakeholder engagement sessions with various industry groups to introduce the National Internship Programme and Youth Tax Incentive with the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises.

Last week and today, the NIPDB conducted stakeholder engagement sessions with various industry groups to introduce the National Internship Programme and Youth Tax Incentive with the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises. The sessions provided an opportunity to present the project and clarify key aspects.

Groups Engaged:

  • Regulators & Development Partners
  • Banks & Financial Services
  • Professional Services & ICT & Telecommunications
  • Engineering Companies & Mining Companies

During the sessions, participants sought clarity on how the tax incentive will function and how companies can enroll in the programme. Common questions revolved around the duration of internships and remuneration for interns.
