Rwanda: Equipping Primary School Teachers With Laptops Is Key to Bridging Digital Divide

This past week, the government, through the Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB) announced that they would soon reinvigorate the programme to distribute laptop computers to various primary schools countrywide, a project that will cost over Rwf12bn and this is a worthwhile investment. At least 25,000 teachers will benefit.

Rwanda's unwavering ambition to leverage IT for her growth is an exciting prospect. Most importantly, a lot has been done in this regard and with significant result.
