Luanda — President Jose Eduardo dos Santos arrived in Luanda this afternoon from Italy after attending the G-8 summit in L'Aquila from July 8 to 10.
The angolan head of state was welcomed at the Luanda international airport by parliament speaker, Fernando Dias dos Santos, and by mebers of the cabinet.
For three days the leaders of the world's strongest economies discussed subjects such as the global warming, the international economic crisis and the international political situation.
Addressing the meeting, the angolan head of state, who attended the venue as guest of honour of italian prime-minister, Silvio Berlusconi, considered food security as one of the main concerns of the african continent for its interference in the domains of health, productivity, social and political stability and economic growth.
The president voiced for the safekeeping of the minimum food and medicine reserves for emergency and humanitarian assistance to needy people.
