Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Luka Nyeh Yusuf died in a London hospital yesterday after a brief illness. The death was confirmed by the Army Headquarters in Abuja.
The late army chief was appointed in May 2007 on the eve of former President Obasanjo's departure. He was replaced last year with Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Dambazzau.
