Gambia: Chief Ajay is New Sifoe Farm Manager

Reliable information gathered by Foroyaa from Kombo South has it that Chief Sheriff Ajay Janneh, of the said District is now the Manager of the Sifoe Farm. Chief Ajay, a native of Gunjur has now replaced Karapha Sanneh, a native of Nyofelleh, who is now facing three criminal charges at the Brikama Magistrates' Court.

On Tuesday 7th July, Chief Janneh was seen on GRTS News bulletin being referred to as the Sifoe Farm Manager giving advice to farmers within the areas.

When contacted Chief Ajay confirmed his appointment as the new boss of Sifoe Farm and also the chairman of the area sand mining company.

Chief Janneh said he was appointed on 26th June replacing Mr. Karapha Sanneh. He said the relationship between him and Mr. Sanneh was that they were political associates. He added that the farm is owned by President Jammeh.

It could be recalled that the former Sifoe Farm manager Mr. Karapha Sanneh, a native of Nyofelleh was arrested on 25th June and detained at the NIA for 7th days before charge with three criminal offences. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded by the court.
