Kigali — MILITARY cemented their play-off slot in style after Saturday's 6-1 over Stella Maris at Mumena.
The army-side marched into the game knowing that they needed a win and did just that after goals from Jean Damascene Ndahayo, Hussein Ruhumuriza and Bertin Kayihura.
The result means that Military finished second to Musanze and will now face Group B leaders Etincelles as they chase their dream of playing top flight football.
Nyanza, who were competing with Military for that vital second spot were frustrated with a 2-2 draw against Union.
In the other play-off tie, Group A leaders Musanze will play Muhanga who had to dig deep before securing a 4-3 win.
"The club's ambition has always been to play in the top division and there is no doubt that the fans will be very happy if we can achieve that," Musanze's head coach Rafiki Nshimiyimana said.
"Playing against clubs like APR, Rayon Sport and Atraco is a prospect we are relishing."
The dates for the play-off games are yet to be confirmed.
