Nigeria: President Yar'Adua in Italy for 2009 G8 Summit

Abuja — Sequel to the invitation extended to him to attend the 2009 G8 Summit in L'Aquila, Italy from July 8 to 10, President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua on Wednesday, July 8 left Abuja for Italy.

The 2009 G8 summit in Italy is expected to discuss among others economic crisis, security matters and environmental challenges facing mankind.

The G-8 consists of the world's eight largest economies which include Canada, the Russian Federation, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
