Angola: Luanda Tennis Association Chairman Wants to Revitalise Tennis

Luanda — The chairman of the provincial tennis association of Luanda (APTL), Joffre Júnior, promised on Saturday in Luanda, more work in order to develop and expand this sport in Luanda.

The sport official, who was speaking during a meeting held in the premises of Luanda's Tennis Club, said that he intends to innovate the mechanism to re-energise tennis and bring in the country the Brazilian international tennis player, Guga Kuerten.

He also said that it is necessary to have training and organise championships in Luanda for competitiveness of tennis players.

The meeting, which counted on the participation of officials from the clubs Team Elite, 1º de Agosto, Clube de Ténis de Luanda, IMEL and Gamek, was topped by the approval of the restructuring list of the new members of APTL's managing board.
