Rwanda: Rwanda Invited for Ealasca Games

Kigali — EAST African Local Authority for Sports and Culture Association (EALASCA) has invited Rwanda to participate in a regional sports gala this August in Machakos, Kenya.

The invitational was passed on to Rwanda's Local Government Minister Protais Musoni last Tuesday by his Kenyan counterpart Lewis Nguyai.

EALASCA is a regional non-political organization aimed at promoting social and cultural interactions among employees on National Associations through the organization of sports and cultural activities.

The Kenyan Minister said that the purpose of his visit was to invite Rwanda local Government Leadership to participate in the games.

"We came to introduce the association and invite you to join us and ask you to advice on how to make contacts." Minister Nguyai said.

This Activity according to the Secretary General of the Rwanda Association of Local governments Authorities (RALGA), Theogene Karake is in line with the Memorandum of Understanding signed in July 2007 between Kenya and Rwandan Local Government Ministries.
