Asmara — Salina Salt Works in the port city of Massawa is striving to boost production and upgrade the quality of its products, according to Mr. Dawit Asefaw, in charge of quality control in the plant.
He indicated that following the introduction modern equipment in recent years, the Salt Works is now in a position to supply both domestic and foreign markets with various volumes of products.
Mr. Dawit went to explain that the demand for the nation's salt products to African countries is on the rise. In this connection, he indicated that Eritrean salt product are in high demand in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda.
