Lubango — The city of Lubango, southern Huíla province, will on Thursday host a children's book fair, in an initiative of the Provincial Department of Culture, in light of the International and African Children's Days, commemorated on June 01 and 16, respectively.
The fact was disclosed this Tuesday to ANGOP, in Lubango, by the provincial Culture director, Maria Marcelina Gomes, who stressed that over 1,000 children's books will be on display at the fair.
"We are preparing every condition for the fair to benefit our children", - she said.
Maria Marcelina Gomes said that the books on display portray important aspects of children's lives, among others.
The five-day event expects to witness the presence of nearly 1,000 visitors who, apart from observing the books, will attend workshops on the "11 children's commitments" and on "The importance of books".
The fair will happen under the motto: "Children, an absolute priority".
