Nigeria: Plateau Partners Israel on Agric

Jos — The Plateau State Government is to partner with Israeli authorities in the area of agriculture. A statement by the Director of Press Affairs Mr James Mannock said this was disclosed when the Plateau State Governor David Jonah Jang received the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria.

Governor Jang promised that Government will create enabling environment for all genuine investors for their investments in the state..

Governor Jonah Jang described the state as a home of Agriculture and natural resources, adding that already there were Israeli companies which include Siven and SEC engaged in number of projects in the states. He said Government had established an Agricultural training center at Kassa in Barikin Ladi Local Government Area and would establish two more.

The Ambassador to Israeli to Nigeria Mr Moshe Ram said Israeli has been able to overcome its Water and Food problems through human resources development and was willing to partner with the Plateau state to achieve that especially in the areas of agriculture, adding that Nigeria has abundant potentials and should not be importing food but exporting it.
