The transfer saga surrounding Stephen Appiah continues to make waves throughout the football world, as reports suggest that the hanaian star is currently training with Tottenham.
A report in The Independent claims that Harry Redknapp will run the rule over transfer target Stephen Appiah, with the Ghanaian midfielder set to start training with Tottenham Hotspur today.
Rumours have been flying around linking the 28-year-old with Spurs over the last month, and now it appears as though 'Arry has made a tentative move for the player.
Appiah's split from Turkish giants Fenerbahçe was messy - possibly incomplete as yet legally - and he has a recent history of injury troubles.
Since the former Juventus man is likely to demand a hefty wage packet based on his fearsome reputation, Redknapp is perhaps wise to have a good look at his condition first.
Should he do the business in training, there's reportedly an initial short-term contract waiting for him, which would run until the end of the season.
The former Juventus battler frequently trained with Brescia in order to stay fit as he attempted to force a move to a Serie A side, with Milan his most likely destination.
However, he's been forced to look further afield and is said to have toured Lennoxtown - Celtic's training complex - where he has a shot at a longer contract.
