Luanda — The Angolan writer Isabel Ferreira will travel this week to Brazil, where she will release, on November 20, her latest literary work entitled "O Guardador de Memórias" (The memories keeper).
The information was given by the author to ANGOP last Tuesday, in Luanda, who also revealed that this is an initiative aimed at promoting Angolan culture abroad, as well as strengthening the co-operation ties between Angolan and Brazilian artists.
The author revealed that to write this book she was inspired by the lyrics of several Angolan musicians, thus this work is a homage to them and also to Angolan women.
Isabel Ferreira explained that this book shows a little of Angolan history and for that she also resorted to the vernacular language kimbundo to clarify some ideas.
"This work makes us laugh, but also reflect through the vision of the characters, regarding Luanda, the environment, going to education, tradition and the behaviour of politicians" she explained.
The 330-page book has been released in Canada and the USA, and it is also on sale in Portugal.
The author also intends to present the book in Cape Verde, Mozambique and São Tomé & Príncipe.
