Uganda: Twesigye's Flopped Launch

Kampala — Artiste Charity Twesigye is known to have a passion for local Gospel music and always supports upcoming Gospel artistes financially.

She recently took a step further and formed an ensemble of Soul music, which she named Pearl of Africa Band. She also recorded her maiden album, Wedding Day.

Twesigye's zeal, however, does not seem to be felt by the public, considering the low turn up at the launch of the band and album at the National Theatre last Friday.

Even then, she was not discouraged, gong ahead with the show.

The concert featured local artistes Jean Peace, Frank Kyeyune, Jay San, Joyce Suubi, Aidah Sanyu and Wiseman, a reggae guest artiste from Finland.

Credit goes to MC James Sengendo, a presenter on Radio Tiger for keeping the audience's interest with his humorous comments.
