Myaha Johnson sits with her family beneath a flimsy shelter of black plastic, looking with despair at the charred remains of what used to be their home. Mary Broh, Monrovia's controversial mayor-designate, had just swept through the neighbourhood with her task force, vigorously tearing down residential structures along the back road, including their own.

I write to comment on the work of Mayor Broh and the Ellen government. She did a good job at the foreign Ministry, but when it comes to clearing the city, it is poor and arrogant. Instead of the government stealing they should make the interior conducive where the citizens can become productive to take care of themselves. After you have stolen all of the money where and how you expect the citizenry to make it? You people are insensitive. Until this government can become responsible then it should not be forcing its peoples who are poor and destitute to be responsible. You are responsible to care for your people but you are stressing them up. While they are dying from stress and headaches you are enjoying yourselves. This is not fair. Thank you jonny
