Liberia, just years removed from civil war, may not seem like an ideal place to open an all-inclusive luxury resort. But one group of American entrepreneurs want to change that perception, and do it very soon.

I wish Liberia would consider keeping Robert Johnson out of the country. Look at the investment -a luxury resort. What will such an investment attract? Tycoons and leeches, those who will drive a deeper wedge between the rich and the poor. A luxury resort? As an investment? Please. We must remember what kind of Hillary Clinton support Johnson is. He is for making himself and not Liberia richer.
Stop being a hater man. RLJ is welcomed to our country.
Are you crazy or just plain stupid, Liberia is 161 years old when do we get off the mat to matress? to borrow a frace from the late president Talbert. It's people like you that like to see Liberia at a stand still, so that your ugly deeds can be promoted and keep surpressing the majority; I've got news for you, thoes days are over for people like you who can't see pass your nose. Our country is long overdue for things like what Bob Johnson wants to do. Let's rally around him and pray for more Bob Johnsons and keep people like you out of Liberia and go to Siberia or somewhere far far away from our beloved country.
Liberia.
I am new to this site, but I like the previous comment I read. There is nothing wrong with being skeptic about someones intention. Hotels are great, but they will not solve the problems of Liberia. Take a good look at the disparity in Jamaica and you will understand what I am saying.
This is purely a money making venture which could have a potential upside of getting more people with money to visit Liberia. Will this help Liberians? I don't quite think so. There is already vast corruption within the country.
Liberia must focus on the infrastructure and means of building the country up to start playing on the international playing field. Until the citizens achieve a means of making a living independent of foreigners, the country will continue to suffer.
Liberia needs investors who would want to focus on building the infrastructure. This kind of investment may not be the money making investment as the Hotels, but they will be the correct way to proceed.
I was born in Liberia, and now I live in Northern California. I have hopes of doing business that will help the country but I do not have the funds as Bob Johnson Does.
BET is very successful, but it also degrades African Americans with some of its programming. If money becomes the only focus for the near term, Liberians will surly pay the price. Let's hope that those with money will focus on the infrastructure and help establish the country from within.
ok...lol...to all.
P. S -> Never be too patriotic to the point where someones skepticism prompts you to anger.
To Robert Jonnson, this is good. My hat is off to you. To my fellow Liberians this not please gave me. This something positive. We can rebuild our nation and be proud to welcome all people. we applaud him.
